The Alenda Golf Club is situated at the foot of the
Sierra de las Aguilas mountains and its'
18-holes are spread over a gentle terrain with a par of 72. It's a varied course and is suitable for all skill levels,
demanding the full use of clubs. The tricky slopes in particular demand a good putting line due to the greens having a variety
of flag positions.
The
Golf Course was Designed by Roland Favrat and opened in 1999. You can enjoy a quick round here, as all the holes are linked
together with short distances between the green and the next tee.
The
first nine holes of this golf course are not too long, and the fairways are quite forgiving. The
back nine holes need more concentration, as accuracy becomes more important.
The
16th and 18th holes are particularly tricky.
The
Alenda Golf Club has full facilities including a driving range (14 bays), chipping green and practice bunker along with the clubhouse services.

The Alicante Golf Club
is located within 20 minutes of the Apartment on the outskirts of Alicante City close to the 7km San Juan beach. This is a modern 18-hole golf course designed by Seve Ballesteros and opened in 1998. Seve has included lakes and artificial
rivers into the design to increase the difficulty of the Par 72 course. There are six par 3's, six par 4's and six
par 5's. The golf course is easy to
walk around and the greens on all the holes can be seen clearly.
On the
9th hole there is an artificial lake, designed in the shape of an S which curves around the green.
The
Alicante Golf Club has a driving range with 70 bays, a chipping area, practice bunkers and a putting
range. Private golf lessons
are also available for adults and children in both English and Spanish

The
Bonalba Golf Course is a short
drive from the Apartment in Gran Alacant, situated on the outskirts of Alicante City at the back of the golden sands of San Juan beach.
The intricate
design challenges the golfer over the Par 72 course with strategically placed lakes, ridges and undulating greens.
This
Golf Course has been home to many professional competitions including the Costa Blanca Challenge, the European Challenge Tour and with the First Round of the National
Professional Golf Circuit it attracts over 60,000 players each year.
The
first nine holes are technical and challenging where players have to clear three of the five lakes. The remaining 9 holes,
also technical, require more strength to the stroke to combat the strong breezes.
Overall
the variety to the course ensures plenty of interest and the wide fairways and palm trees provide a very a pleasant
environment.
The
course has a driving range (covered and uncovered), 3 putting greens, a chipping
area and 2 practice bunkers. Clubs can be hired and private golf
lessons are provided in English, French and Spanish.

The
Don Cayo Golf Club is a bit further
out from Gran Alacant and located in the foothills of the Sierra Bernia Mountains. It is close to the pretty coastal resort of Altea with its historic old town clustered around the white-washed church.
The
Golf Club was opened in 1974, and the 'very strenuous' but fabulous little course was designed by the architects
Pedro Barber and Gregorio Sands.
The
5th, a 580 metre par 5, is a particularly difficult hole, as is the uphill 227 metre par 3 6th hole. Both of these alternate
with recovery holes requiring precision to land the ball on the fairway. The 3rd hole is a bit more forgiving and has
lovely sea views whilst from the 7th, players can just make out the
Marina Baixa and the mountains surrounding it.
The
Club has 5 bays, and private golf
lessons are available in English, German and Spanish.

The El Plantio
Golf Club is the only golf club in
the Valencia region that has two golf courses,
the first is an excellent 72 Par 18 holes, and the second is a 9-hole course, just 10 minutes away from the Apartment in Gran Alacant. El Plantio is an oasis of lush green fairways with a variety
of palm, fig and cork trees, which make it an excellent environment to play in.
All levels are catered for, making El Plantio
the ideal destination for the whole family. The fairways are broad and comfortable, however the slopes along the 2nd,
12th and 13th holes are the only complications on a course that generally has flat or only slightly undulating fairways. The
abundant vegetation can make things difficult for wayward drives leading up to the approach to the greens.
There are also two large lakes that complicate matters and increase the sensation of
enjoying a fine game in the midst of nature.

Las Ramblas Golf Course was designed by Jose Gancedo and established in 1991. The 5770m long 18-hole par 72 golf
course is situated about 9Km from the main road N332, Torrevieja - Cartagena.
Las Ramblas is situated in Mediterranean woodland with superb vegetation and some great panoramic views
across the Costa Blanca coastline.
There are lots of trees surrounding the course,
and some interesting water hazards. The water hazards and slopes all along the course make the game attractive and
interesting, and of course, challenging!
There is a driving range, putting greens, chipping area and bunker practice. They also have buggies, trolleys, hire clubs, pro
shop, cafeteria and restaurant.

The Real Club de Golf Campoamor,
is sited on a former country estate and surrounded by the most beautiful unspoilt Mediterranean countryside. The Golf Course was designed to take advantage of the unusual terrain, and its 18 holes meander through two connected
valleys.
The course is surrounded by low, gently undulating ridges which protect
it from the wind and create a special microclimate that allows golfers to play all the year round.
The course is situated about 100 metres above sea level, and is bordered
to the south by the Tagus-Segura canal.
This unique setting has marvellous views over the Mediterranean, and the many
features of the course pose difficult rounds for experienced players and more forgiving ones for those new to Golf.
